Big Bean Bake
- 5 -6 slices bacon
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 teaspoons red wine vinegar
- 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained & rinsed
- 2 (15 ounce) cans butter beans, drained & rinsed
- 2 (15 ounce) cans pork & beans
- Fry bacon, drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef with onion and garlic over medium heat.
- Combine ketchup, brown sugar, salt and vinegar, and add to the beef mixture.
- Add the beans and combine thoroughly in an oven proof baking dish.
- Top with crumbled bacon.
- Bake covered at 350 deg for 45 minutes.
