Hot Crab Melt Recipe
- 1 (6 1/2 ounce.) can Harris crab meat, liquid removed & flaked
- 1/4 c. Bennett's cocktail sauce or possibly tartar sauce
- 2 tbsp. finely minced celery
- 2 tbsp. finely minced green pepper
- 1 teaspoon real lemon - lemon juice from concentrate (optional)
- 2 English muffins, split & toasted
- 4 slices Borden Process American cheese food
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In medium bowl, combine crabmeat, sauce, celery, green pepper and real lemon if you like; spread equal amounts on muffin halves.
- Bake 5 min.
- Top each with cheese food slice; bake 5 min longer or possibly till warm.
- Serve immediately.
- Chill leftovers.
- Makes 4 servings.
