Warm Beets With Pineapple
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 20 ounces pineapple tidbits, do not drain
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 16 ounces sliced red beets, drained
- In a saucepan over med-low heat, melt butter; stir in brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and the juice/syrup ONLY from the pineapple tidbits.
- Cook and stir until thickened.
- Add in pineapple tidbits and beets.
- Gently stir and heat through.
- Serve.
