Barka Easter Bread Recipe

  1. Dissolve yeast in hot water.
  2. Proceed in usual manner, using sufficient flour to make a soft dough.
  3. Work down 4 times.
  4. Put in pans and let rise to 3/4 size.
  5. (I use 3 1-lb.
  6. coffee cans, plus another smaller can.)
  7. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 min.
  8. Cold on wire rack.
  9. Frost tops with thin powdered sugar frosting.
  10. Then sprinkle with multi-colored candies.
  11. NOTE: May be toasted.
