Beef Steak And Kidney's In Pastry Puff (British) Recipe

  1. Slice kidneys, remove fat and membranes.
  2. Saute/fry lightly 10 minutes in 1/4 cp oil.
  3. Drain, rinse and set aside.
  4. Slice mushrooms, saute/fry in 2 TBSP oil till mushrooms give up natural juices.
  5. Drain and set aside.
  6. Saute/fry onions in 1/4 cp oil till tender.
  7. Peel, remove seeds and chop tomatoes.
  8. Add in to onions.
  9. Saute/fry 10 minutes.
  10. Remove onion tomato mix to dutch oven.
  11. Add in all othe ingredients and simmer 1-1/2 hrs or possibly till sauce has been reduced by 1/2.
  12. Follow instructions for frzn pastry puffs and fill.
