Beaujolais Buttermilk Coffee Cake Recipe

  1. 1) Combine the flour, salt, 1 tsp.
  2. cinnamon, ginger, sugar (both white and brown), and oil.
  3. Mix with an electric beater till well blended.

  5. Take out 3/4 c. of the mix for the topping.
  6. To this mix add in the nuts and an additional 1 1/2 tsp.
  7. cinnamon and mix well.
  8. Set aside.

  10. To the remaining mix add in the soda, baking pwdr, egg and buttermilk.
  11. Mix till smooth.
  12. Pour into a 9" x 13" greased pan.
  13. Sprinkle on the topping.
  14. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min.
