Beaujolais Buttermilk Coffee Cake Recipe
- 2 c. Flour (+2 Tbsp)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. Sugar
- 3/4 c. salad oil
- 1/2 c. walnuts minced
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 x egg
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1) Combine the flour, salt, 1 tsp.
- cinnamon, ginger, sugar (both white and brown), and oil.
- Mix with an electric beater till well blended.
- 2.
- Take out 3/4 c. of the mix for the topping.
- To this mix add in the nuts and an additional 1 1/2 tsp.
- cinnamon and mix well.
- Set aside.
- 3.
- To the remaining mix add in the soda, baking pwdr, egg and buttermilk.
- Mix till smooth.
- Pour into a 9" x 13" greased pan.
- Sprinkle on the topping.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min.
