If You Love Yogurt Cheese Pizza Dough
- 2 12 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 14 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 large egg whites
- 1 cup non-fat yogurt cheese
- 6 tablespoons margarine, melted and cooled
- This makes 2 10'' pizzas - I have successfully cut the recipe in half to make just one 10" crust.
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Sift flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda together.
- In the bowl of a food processor, add egg whites, yogurt cheese and margarine, and pulse until well blended.
- Add dry ingredients to yogurt cheese mixture and pulse until the dough comes together in a ball.
- Turn the dough out on to a floured surface (it is very sticky - so flour your hands before you begin kneading), and knead for 30 seconds (I just count each kneading motion to 30).
- Divide dough into 2 equal parts.
- Place on an ungreased baking sheet and pat into your choice of shape (I usually spray my hands with non-stick cooking spray to help form the shape).
- Form a "lip" to hold in your toppings.
- Top with your choice of pizza toppings
- Bake between 15 to 20 minutes.
