San Francisco Beef Recipe
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 3 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. sherry
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 pound fresh broccoli or possibly asparagus
- 1 med. onion, sliced
- 4-6 ounce. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1 teaspoon Accent
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Marinate the steak for several hrs in a combination of the soy sauce, sherry, sugar and cornstarch.
- Keep turning to coat the meat.
- Cut the broccoli or possibly asparagus diagonally in small pcs.
- Drop in boiling water for 2 min.
- Drain under cool water.
- In a large skillet or possibly wok, heat 1/2 c. oil and saute/fry the meat, onions and mushrooms for 1 minute.
- Add in the broccoli or possibly asparagus.
- Add in the Accent and the salt.
- Stir 2-3 min.
- Serve over rice with a citrus salad and crunchy roll.
- Serves 4.
