Spanish-ish Strawberry Slushito

  1. Dice the strawberries and infuse them overnight in a quart of 1:1 simple syrup.

  3. Strain, discard the spent fruit and refrigerate the syrup until ready to use.
  4. In a blender, add 5 ounces of the strawberry syrup, along with the gin, Campari and fresh lime juice.
  5. Fill to the top with ice.
  6. Blend until smooth.
  7. Pour into glasses and garnish with basil leaves.
