Mel Tillis' Momma's Buttermilk Cornbread Recipe

  1. Mix dry ingredients; add in Large eggs and buttermilk.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  3. In 8-inch cast iron skillet, add in sufficient oil to coat bottom and sides of skillet.
  4. Pour fold in skillet and bake till top of cornbread is golden (approximately 25 min).
