Batter Fried Dandelion Recipe

  1. Pick the dandelions as close to the head as possible (the stems are very bitter).
  2. Rinse well; pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Beat the egg, lowfat milk, flour, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Dip each flower into the batter.
  5. Deep-fry in oil which is warm but not smoking (350F - 375F), till golden.
  6. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt.
