Cheese Sauce over Cauliflower
- 1 large head cauliflower
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup (6oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 paprika
- 1 fresh parsley
- In a large sausepan, bring 1" of water, cauliflower & salt to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cook 5-15 minutes.
- Or until cauliflower is crisp- tender.
- Meanwhile in a small sausepan melt butter.
- ; stir in flour & thyme until blended.
- Gradually add milk.Bring to a boil.
- Cook and stir 2 min.or until thickened.
- Reduce heat; add cheese .
- Stirring until melted.
- Drain and pat cauliflower dry.
- Place on serving plate.
- Top with cheese sause.Sprinkle with parsley & paprika.
- Cut into wedges.
