Salted Fish Fried Rice (NASI GORENG IKAN ASIN)
- 300 grams cooked white rice (at room temperature)
- 100 grams salted fish fried, shredded/torn rough
- 1 egg, beaten off and fry while in scrambled
- 1 leek/leaf chives, cut askew
- 5 cayenne peppers (to taste), thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- to taste Salt and pepper
- Saute onion, garlic and cayenne pepper until fragrant.
- Add rice, salted fish and eggs.
- Stir until blended.
- Add soy sauce, salt, pepper and flavoring (optional).
- Stir until all blended.
- Towards the end, add sesame oil and scallions.
- Cook, stirring frequently until wilted scallions.
- Arrange fried rice on plate and serve while warm.
