Elle's Rice Pilaf
- 2 cups water or 2 cups chicken broth
- 34 cup long grain rice
- 14 cup orzo pasta
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 chicken bouillon cube, a pinch of tumeric spice for color
- Bring water/broth and olive oil/butter to a boil.
- Stir in rice and spices and return to a boil; stir.
- Cover and reduce heat to simmer for 20-25 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed.
- Fluff pilaf lightly with a fork before serving.
- Makes 3 cups.
