Hamburger Stew
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 3 brown gravy mix
- 15 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 15 ounces water
- 1 large onion
- 4 carrots
- 3 stalks celery
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Brown hamburger with chopped onion till done in dutch oven.
- Drain very well (I run them under hot water in the sink).
- Add brown gravey packets, tomatoes, and 1 tomato can's worth of water.
- Stir well over medium heat.
- Add chopped carrots and celery, along with worchestershire sauce and thyme.
- Cook until carrots are tender, about a half hour.
- Add peas, stirring till they are heated through.
