Easy Refrigerator Rolls Recipe

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in hot water.
  2. Add in sugar, salt and half of the flour.
  3. Beat thoroughly for 2 min.
  4. Add in egg and shortening.
  5. Fold in remaining flour with spoon or possibly hand till dough is easy to handle.
  6. Roll dough into a ball, grease top of ball.
  7. Place greased side up in a greased bowl, cover bowl with plastic wrap or possibly foil.
  8. Place in refrigerator.
  9. Punch down occasionally as dough rises.
  10. About 2 hrs before baking, cut off amount needed and return rest of dough to refrigerator.
  11. Shape while cool into desired rolls.
  12. Cover and let rise to double in size, 1 1/2 - 2 hrs.
  13. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 min.
  14. Yield: 4 dozen rolls.
