Mrs. P's Cheesy Potato Casserole

• 6 cups quartered peeled baking potatoes Safeway 2 pkg For $5.00 thru 02/09
• 1/2 cup chopped onions
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing, divided Family Dollar $3.50 thru 02/07
• 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
• 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
• 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
• 1 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

1. Heat oven to 350F.
2. Cook potatoes in boiling water in large saucepan 15 min.
3. or until tender; drain.
4. Meanwhile, cook and stir onions and garlic in 1/2 cup dressing in skillet on medium heat 5 min.
5. or until onions are tender.
6. Drain potatoes; return to pan.
7. Mash until smooth.
8. Stir in onion mixture, remaining dressing, cheddar cheese, milk and pepper.
9. Spoon into 2-qt.
10. casserole sprayed with cooking spray.
11. Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over potato mixture.
12. Bake 40 min.
13. or until heated through.
