Country sausage Patties
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or any oil)
- 3 cups water
- 13 cup light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons thyme
- 2 tablespoons sage
- 18 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 14-12 teaspoon african bird cayenne pepper (or to taste)
- salt (with the soy sauce you may not need it)
- 12 cup onion, grated
- 4 cups quick oats
- 4 cups pecan meal
- Heat a large non-stick skillet and add 2 tablespoons olive oil (or any oil you like).
- Put the 3 cups water in a large bowl.
- Add soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, sage, poultry seasoning, cayenne pepper and salt.
- Mix well.
- Add grated onion.
- Add oats and pecan meal.
- Mix and stir well, mashing mixture with back of the spoon as you stir and mix.
- Drop by large spoonfuls into a hot skillet in shape of patties.
- Brown well on both sides.
- Eat as sausage patties on a biscuit for breakfast, or put a gravy on them and bake them for 15 minutes in 400 degree fahrenheit oven until hot and bubbly.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, a vegetable and salad.
