Rum & Nut Cake With Glaze

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Grease and flour bunt or tube pan.
  3. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan.
  4. In large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, rum, oil and water.
  5. Beat on low speed until moistened, beat on high 2 minutes.
  6. pour batter over nuts.
  7. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean -- Cool 15 minute invert onto serving plate.
  8. GLAZE:.
  9. Melt butter in saucepan.
  10. Stir in sugar, water and rum.
  11. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  12. Remove from heat.
  13. Pierce all around top of cake with fork.
  14. Spoon glaze over top of cake and sides.
  15. (Turkey baster works well too!)
  16. Allow cake to absorb glaze.
