Sweet and Sticky Spareribs
- 2 pounds Pork Rib Tips
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Water, Plus More For Boiling Rib Pieces
- 4 Tablespoons Soy Sauce (low Sodium If Possible)
- 2 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
- 2 cloves Garlic, Finely Chopped
- 1 whole Green Onion, Finely Chopped, For Garnish
- You will have to cut your rib tips into bite size pieces.
- In a large sauce pan, place your bite-sized pieces and cover with water and 1 tablespoon salt.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes until no longer pink.
- Drain water and keep ribs in the pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix your brown sugar, 1 cup water, soy sauce, corn syrup and garlic.
- Whisk well and pour over your ribs.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- Serve garnished with chopped green onions.
- This is absolutely delicious.
- The recipe can easily be doubled, tripled.
- It is great as a side or if you have a buffet or cocktail party.
