Eggless Fruit Cake Recipe

• 1 1/2 c. applesauce
• 1 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. shortening
• 1 pound jar diced mixed fruit
• 1 c. white raisins
• 2 c. flour, sifted with 2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon cloves
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 c. walnuts

1. Bring to boil first 5 ingredients.
2. Mix well.
3. Cold thoroughly.
4. Add in flour, spices and nuts.
5. Blend thoroughly.
6. Bake in greased loaf pan.
7. Bake at 350 degrees in preheated oven 1 hour and 15 min.
8. May be frzn.
9. Delicious toasted.
