Strawberries with Chocolate Fondue
- 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 3/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 12 to 16 large fresh, ripe strawberries
- 3 pinch confectioners' sugar
- In small saucepan over low heat, heat 1/2 cup heavy cream until steaming.
- Add 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons light corn syrup; stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat; stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Pour mixture into 8-ounce ramekin or serving bowl; cool before serving with 12 to 16 large fresh, ripe strawberries, preferably long stemmed, for dipping.
- Sprinkle berries lightly with confectioners' sugar, if desired, before serving.
- Makes about 1 cup fondue; 6 to 8 servings.
