Hot Ham And Cheese Sandwiches With Mushrooms

  1. Preheat the broiler.
  2. Position the rack 4 inches from the heat source.
  3. Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and mustard.
  5. Place the slices of bread on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Spread half of the mayonnaise mixture on each slice.
  7. Top each with 2 ounces ham, 1 slice onion, 1/2 of the mushrooms and 1 ounce cheese.
  8. Broil the open-faced sandwiches until the cheese is melted and slightly browned, about 3 minutes.
  9. Serve immediately.
