Slow Cooked Beans Recipe
- 1/2 pound bacon, diced
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 4 (16 ounce.) cans pork & beans
- 1 med. onion, minced
- 1 green pepper, minced
- Barbecue sauce as desired
- In medium skillet, fry bacon till crisp.
- Drain, reserving 2 Tbsp.
- dripping.
- In slow cooker, combine bacon, drippings and remaining ingredients, stirring till well mixed.
- Cover, cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hrs.
