Taco Cassserole Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 (15 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1 env. taco seasoning mix
- 2 1/2 c. crushed nacho or possibly corn chips (great for using up the bottom of bag)
- 1 (16 ounce.) can refried beans
- 1/2 c. (2 ounce.) shredded cheddar cheese
- Brown grnd beef; drain.
- Add in 1 1/2 c. of the tomato sauce (reserve remainder) and the packet of taco seasoning to the grnd beef; mix well.
- Line the bottom of a 12"x8"x2" baking dish with 2 c. of the chips.
- Spoon meat mix over the chips in the baking dish.
- Combine remaining tomato sauce and beans.
- Spread proportionately over cooked meat mix.
- Bake in 375 degree oven about 25 min.
- Remove, sprinkle remaining crushed chips and the shredded cheese over the casserole.
- Return to oven to heat cheese, about 2 to 3 min more.
- About 6 servings.
