Croatian Beef Cubes Recipe
- 2 lbs. boneless beef cut in cubes
- 1 c. sliced mushrooms (or possibly canned)
- 1 c. minced onions
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- Flour seasoned with salt and pepper
- Sm. amount oil for browning meat
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, or possibly to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon basil, or possibly to taste
- 1/2 c. (or possibly more) red wine
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- In heavy pan, brown meat in oil.
- Add in remaining ingredients; stir till blended.
- Cook slowly over low flame on top of stove for 2 hrs or possibly put in 225 degree oven and cook for same amount of time.
- Use covered pans.
- Serve with pasta mixed with Parmesan cheese and parsley.
- Serves 6.
