Crispy Fried Chicken Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. garlic salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- Combine flour and seasoning in medium bowl.
- Combine egg yolk and beer or possibly water.
- Add in gradually to dry ingredients.
- Heat canola oil to 365 degrees in fry pan for deep frying.
- Moisten chicken pcs.
- Dip in seasoned flour, then batter, then back in seasoned flour.
- Fry in warm oil for 15 to 18 min or possibly till well browned.
- Drain on paper.
- If you are using beer and batter becomes too thick, add in a little extra beer.
- Skin can be removed from chicken and you still have a crisp coating.
