Hockey Jersey Cake

  1. Prepare cake batter and bake in greased foil-lined 13x9-inch baking pan as directed on package.
  2. Cool in pan 15 min.
  3. (Do not remove cake from pan.)
  4. Pierce cake using round handle of wooden spoon at 1-inch intervals.
  5. (Or, use plastic drinking straw to make holes, using a turning motion to make large holes in cake.)
  6. Set aside.
  7. Add milk to dry pudding mixes.
  8. Beat with wire whisk 2 min.
  9. or until well blended.
  10. Pour evenly over cake.
  11. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
  12. Remove cake from pan using foil edges and place on cutting board.
  13. Cut cake into pieces with serrated knife.
  14. Remove foil on bottom and arrange cake on large serving platter as shown in diagram.
  15. Stir food colouring into whipped topping; spread onto top and sides of cake.
  16. Decorate with decorating gel and candies to represent your child's favourite team.
  17. Store in refrigerator.
