Red Velvet Cake
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 3/4 cup cake flour
- 1 tsp baking soda scant
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (dutch preferred)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup milk scant
- 2 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- preheat oven to 350
- sift flour, baking soda, cocoa, salt
- beat eggs, oil, buttermilk, milk, food coloring, vanilla, vinegar in larger bowl
- add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and beat about 2 min.
- grease pans and pour mix 23 full
- cook for 25-30min.
- let cake cook completely before applying frosting
