Sticky Chicken

  1. Preheat oven to 350 f.
  2. Rinse chicken and pat dry.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over med/high heat.
  4. In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, chili powder, cinnamon, and cumin.
  5. Rub this mixture all over the chicken.
  6. When the oil is very hot, almost smoking, throw your chicken in and sear on both sides.
  7. This usually takes about 10 minutes total.
  8. In another bowl, mix brown sugar, garlic, pepper, and hot sauce to form a paste.
  9. When the chicken is nicely browned on both sides, toss it into a greased baking dish and scoop the garlic/sugar mixture on top of the chicken.
  10. It doesnt have to be perfect, as long as its on there somewhere...the oven with do the magic.
  11. When thats done, throw it in the oven and leave it for 45 minutes.
  12. Remove from the oven, when the chicken is bubbling over with the glaze and serve.
  13. (I like them when theyve cooled for about 15 minutes and the glaze gets really sticky.
  14. Weve made this recipe, both mild and hot, so dont be shy experiment a little with the spices types/amounts.
