Cabbage Roll Bake
- 1 lb uncooked ground turkey breast
- 1 12 lbs cabbage, all varieties, chopped
- 14 12 ounces Italian-style diced tomatoes, canned
- 15 ounces canned tomato sauce
- 34 cup onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 14 teaspoon dried thyme
- 14 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Boil chopped cabbage until cabbage is tender.
- Prepare instant rice according to directions to equal 3 cups prepared.
- In a large nonstick frying pan, saute peppers & onions for a few minutes.
- Add ground turkey and cook until no longer pink.
- Drain.
- Transfer turkey & peppers to a large bowl.
- Add cooked rice, cooked cabbage, diced tomatoes, canned tomato suace, seasonings.
- Transfer mixture to a 13 X 9 X 2 inch baking dish coated with nonstick spray.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated through.
- Serves 8, 1 cup servings.
