Pizza Sauce
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 14 teaspoon crushed black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese (Grated)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 12 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Mix all wet ingredients in a mixer on low speed .
- While mixer is mixing add in each spice individually.
- *I was told this helps make sure everything is well distributed through out the sauce.
- After all are added, turn off mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl.
- Mix again for another 2 minutes.
- *You can use this sauce right after mixing, but I was told it needs to be chilled for 24 hours If you decide to chill it pour the sauce into a plastic container and chill for a day.
- a metal container will give it a metallic taste.
