Smothered Pork Chops- Homemade Gourmet

  1. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat, being careful not to get too hot.
  2. Meanwhile, mix together 2 tablespoons of seasoning mix and flour.
  3. Dredge pork chops in flour and seasoning mix.
  4. When oil is hot, cook pork chops over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or until evenly browned.
  5. Remove pork chops and drain on paper towel.
  6. Add mushrooms and bell peppers to skillet with a little more olive oil, if needed.
  7. Saute over medium heat for 5 minutes or until tender.
  8. Stir in soup, half-and-half, and 1 tablespoon seasoning mix.
  9. Return pork chops to skillet.
  10. Reduce heat to low.
  11. Cook, covered, 1 hour or until pork is tender.
  12. Serve with hot rice or pasta, if desired.
