Self's Better-Body Chili

  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan.
  2. Add garlic and onion; stir 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in spices.
  4. Toss in peppers, carrots, and sweet potatoes and stir 1 minute.
  5. Add tomatoes, cocoa, cranberries, and 2 cups water.
  6. Bring to a boil, then simmer 45 minutes.
  7. Ladle chili into bowls; top with egg.
  8. Serve immediately.
