Holiday Churros

  1. Bring water, butter and salt to boil in medium saucepan on medium-high heat.
  2. Stir in flour.
  3. Reduce heat to low; cook 1 min.
  4. or until mixture forms a ball, stirring constantly with wooden spoon.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in cereal and pecans until well blended.
  6. Place in medium bowl.
  7. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating with mixer on medium speed after each addition until well blended.
  8. Heat oil in medium skillet to 350 degrees F. Spoon cereal mixture into heavy-weight pastry bag fitted with large star tip.
  9. (Or spoon into a cake decorator's tube fitted with star tip.)
  10. Carefully squeeze three or four 3-inch-long strips of dough into hot oil.
  11. Cook 2 to 3 min.
  12. or until golden brown on both sides, turning after 1 min.
  13. Drain on paper towels.
  14. Repeat with remaining dough.
  15. Roll in cinnamon sugar while still hot.
  16. Serve warm.
