Double Apple Fantans Recipe
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 c. minced apple, pared
- 1 beaten egg
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- Mix together the flour, sugar, baking pwdr, salt, cinnamon and minced apple.
- Combine the egg, lowfat milk and salad oil.
- Add in all at once to flour mix, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Don't BEAT.
- Fill greased muffin pans or possibly paper lined pans 2/3 full.
- Mix 3 Tbsp.
- sugar, 1/2 tsp.
- cinnamon.
- Coat 1 c. thinly sliced apples with sugar mix.
- Press apple slices into top of batter to make stripes.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 min.
