Sloppy Joe Pizza Pockets
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 bell pepper, coarsely chopped
- 12 onion, coarsely chopped
- 1 12 lbs ground turkey
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 lb frozen pizza dough, thawed
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
- salt
- pepper
- Heat olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat.
- Add bell pepper, onion, and pinch of salt and pepper.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened.
- (about 5 mins).
- Add the turkey and cook over medium high heat until turkey is cooked through.
- Stir in the pizza sauce and worcestershire sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Let cool completely.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Lightly grease baking sheet with olive oil.
- Divide the dough into quarters.
- Roll out and stretch each piece into an 8 inch round.
- Place the rounds on the baking sheet, with about 1/3 hanging over the edges.
- Mound a packed cup of the turkey mixture onto each round leaving a 1/2 inch border.
- Top with cheese.
- Fold dough over the filling and crimp the edges together to seal.
- Cut a small vent in the top of each pocket for ventilation.
- Bake until puffed and golden (about 15-20 mins).
