Swiss Chard Bake Recipe

  1. Wash and peel stems from chard and drop in boiling water.
  2. Cook about 3 min before adding the leaves.
  3. Cook another 3 min.
  4. Remove from water and cut into pcs.
  5. Cook onion in butter a few min.
  6. Then add in the Swiss chard to skillet with onion and butter stirring constantly to the flavor of onion and butter.
  7. Set aside.
  8. Beat Large eggs, add in buttermilk, flour and salt and pepper.
  9. Mix well together.
  10. Combine cheese.
  11. In greased casserole place a layer of chard and a layer of cheese till all in dish.
  12. Cover with egg mix.
  13. Bake for 30 min at 350 degrees.
