Mock Grape or Lemon Jam

  1. Cut the tomatoes into chunks and grind in a blender to make 5 cups.
  2. Put the tomatoes and sugar in large pot and bring to a boil and stir for 25 minutes.
  3. Do not burn.
  4. Add jello and mix well.
  5. Boil 1 minute.
  6. Take off heat.
  7. Pour into hot sterilized jars.
  8. Seal and Band.
  9. Place on a towelled counter.
  10. Note: I am at high altitude and place the jars in hot water bath for 10 minutes to assure the sealing process.
  11. Note: You may add bits of fresh lemon rind if you wish.
  12. Pretty in the jars.
