Holiday Nuggets
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- confectioners sugar
- colored crystallized sugar
- In mixing bowl, cream butter, margarine and sugar; blend in vanilla and almond extracts.
- Gradually add flour and salt.
- Stir in nuts.
- Shape into 1 1/4 inch balls.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten slightly with fingers.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 25 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly browned.
- Cool on a wire rack.
- When cool, sprinkle with mixture of confectioners and colored sugar.
- Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
