Chocolate Ice Cream Syrup
- 6 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares
- 3 tablespoons butter, cubed (no substitutes)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
- ice cream
- In a heavy saucepan over low heat of double boiler over simmering water, melt the chocolate.
- Add butter; cook and stir until melted.
- Add sugar alternately with milk, stirring constantly.
- Cook for 15 minutes, stirring often.
- Serve warm over ice cream.
- Refrigerate leftovers.
