Favorite Healthy Homemade Bread
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 14 cup ground flax seeds
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil
- 23 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- Add water, honey, salt, coconut oil and yeast to bread machine.
- Add remaining ingredients on top.
- Check the dough after a few minutes of mixing to make sure it's not too wet.
- Be sure not to add too much extra flour though, as this will make a very stiff dough and heavy bread.
- When the dough cycle is complete remove the dough, punch down and form into two loaves.
- Allow to rise until doubled in greased pans.
- Heat oven to 375 degrees and bake the loaves for 35 minutes.
- Cool on racks.
