Pizza Crust Recipe
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. baking pwdr
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Shake dry ingredients in 6 qt bowl till Crisco is well blended.
- Add in 1 package yeast softened in 3/4 c. hot water.
- Cover bowl and shake till a ball forms.
- Turn onto floured sheet and knead 15 times with floured hands.
- Divide dough.
- Roll thin to fit 12 inch pizza pan.
- Prick crust before baking.
- Bake 7 min.
- Spread with pizza sauce, add in meat and any other desired toppings.
- Cover with cheese.
- Bake for 7 min.
- For Angel Biscuits: Substitute 3/4 c. hot lowfat milk for water.
- Roll and cut for biscuits.
