Pork Tsukune (Patties) Packed with Burdok Root

  1. Wash the burdock root, and finely shave it with the skin still attached.
  2. Finley chop the onion.
  3. Add the ground pork, onions, burdock root, eggs, and flavoring ingredients marked with to a bowl and knead thoroughly until it sticks together.
  4. Mold the patties into any size you like, line them in a heated pan, and fry.
  5. Once it has become golden brown on one side, flip them over, cover with a lid, and continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes.
  6. Wipe excess oil with a paper towel.
  7. Mix together the ingredients marked with , and add them to the pan once the patties have cooked through.
  8. Saute them while shaking the pan back and forth.
  9. Turn the heat up to high after adding the sauce!
  10. Transfer to serving plates, top with shredded shiso leaves, and enjoy!
