Braised And Marinated Pork Chops Recipe
- 6 x Thick pork chops
- 3 slc Fresh ginger root
- 1 x Clove garlic
- 3 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Sherry
- 2 x Scallion stalks
- 1/3 c. Soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 dsh Pepper
- 3 Tbsp. Oil
- 1.
- Bone pork chops and cut meat in 1-1/2 inch cubes.
- (Reserve bones for stock.)

- Mince ginger root and garlic, then combine with soy sauce and sherry.
- 3.
- Add in to pork and toss gently.
- Let stand 30 min, turning meat occasionally; then drain, discarding marinade.

- Meanwhile cut scallion stalks in 1-inch sections.
- Combine remaining soy sauce with sugar and pepper.
- 5.
- Heat oil in a heavy pan.
- Add in marinated pork and brown quickly on all sides.
- Add in scallions and stir-fry a few times.
- 6.
- Stir in soy mix.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer, covered, till tender (about 30 min).
