Sake-steamed Clams and Cabbage

  1. Finely chop the garlic and parsley.
  2. Roughly chop the cabbage.
  3. De-sand the clams and wash them well, while rubbing the shells together.
  4. Put the olive oil and garlic in a frying pan and set the heat to medium.
  5. When fragrant, add the cabbage and stir-fry.
  6. When the cabbage has wilted, add the clams and sake, and put the lid on.
  7. Steam until the clams have opened, then season with salt and pepper.
  8. Sprinkle on some parsley to finish.
