Rich & Tasty Stir-fried Pork and Shiso Leaves with Miso and Butter
- 200 grams Thinly sliced pork belly
- 20 leaves Shiso leaves
- 1 tbsp Margarine
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 tbsp Miso
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Cut the pork into bite sizes and cut the shiso leaves in half lengthwise.
- Slice thinly or chop finely the garlic and combine the seasonings.
- Add the margarine (about 1 tablespoon) and garlic into a frying pan and fry gently over a low heat until the aroma is released.
- After the aroma released fry the pork over a high heat until almost cooked through.
- Turn heat down to medium, add the combined seasonings and stir.
- When the sauce is reduced add the shiso leaves at the end stir quickly.
- Turn off the heat.
