Ground Turkey Loaf Recipe
- 2 lbs. grnd turkey, uncooked
- 1/3 c. oatmeal
- 1/2 c. unketchup
- 2 tbsp. minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 Large eggs
- Place ingredients except turkey in mixing bowl.
- Mix thoroughly and let stand a few min.
- Fold in turkey till well blended.
- Shape into loaf.
- Place in 5 x 9 inch loaf pan or possibly in shallow pan with a little water.
- Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour or possibly till meat thermometer registers 160 degrees to 164 degrees.
- Cold to set loaf.
- Weigh 4 oz servings.
- Serve with 1 c. of mashed potatoes and 1 c. tossed salad.
- Single serving = 4 ounces protein, 1 c. starch, 1 c. salad.
