Fried Green Tomatoes Recipe

  1. Cut tomatoes into thick slices.
  2. On waxed paper, mix flour with salt and pepper.
  3. Coat tomatoes and let sit 15 minutes.
  4. In skillet, heat 1/2 inch of oil and bacon grease over medium high heat.
  5. Lightly recoat tomatoes with flour mixture.
  6. Brown on both sides.
  7. About 1 1/2 minutes on each side.
