Adovado Carne
- 1 12 cups chili powder (Santa Cruz is preferred)
- 4 tablespoons crushed garlic
- 6 ounces fresh lime juice
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 6 well trimmed New York strip steaks, cut to 2-inch thick (I used round steak, 14-ounce)
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
- Combine all ingredients to form a paste.
- NEW YORK STRIP: Salt and pepper the meat.
- Rub liberally with adovado marinade.
- Grill to desired temperature.
